Our Mission

At Uptinker, our mission is to leave no stones unturned in helping you learn the art of entrepreneurship. Our motto is “learn by doing”. So come learn all about entrepreneurship while building your first startup in our startup school/incubator. Note that these skills are not taught in traditional schools but are most important for your success in the real world. We have assembled the best resources and practitioners to help you in this journey.

Why

* Achieve your full potential

* Get true freedom

* 10X your wealth

How

* Entrepreneurial Mindset, Ideation

* Technology, Marketing, Funding

* Execution

WHAT

* Minimum Viable Product

* Product Market Fit

* Scaling

Ideation

As established companies and incumbents focus on improving their products for their most demanding and usually most profitable customers, they exceed the needs of some customer segments and ignore the needs of others.

This is where successful entrepreneurs begins their idea generation by successfully targeting these overlooked customer segments. They gain foothold in this customer segment by offering product with more suitable functionality. These are generally less complex and lower in price, also known as “Minimum Viable Product”. Incumbents, chasing higher profitability in more demanding customer segments, tend not to respond vigorously to entrepreneur’s early success.

The entrepreneur then moves upmarket through improved product offerings, delivering the performance the incumbent’s customers require, while preserving the advantages that drove their early success. The incumbent’s customers now have an alternative product that addresses their need but at the same time is less complex and lower in price. Once mainstream customers start adopting this new product in volume, disruption has occurred.

This is the secret sauce for majority of successful entrepreneurs.

Tools

TECHNOLOGY

Successful entrepreneurs have a deep understanding of the “application of technology”. They use this understanding to solve real world problems and also change the status quo. They focus more on application than just the technology itself. Technology, whether it’s stone, steel, software or AI, will yield transformative results only when applied in the right way.

MARKETING

The other missing link is the “art of marketing” your unique solution in a way that appeals to people’s inner self and bring awareness about your offering. Successful entrepreneurs focus on quality instead of quantity of marketing. They focus on the right messaging/positioning etc. instead of pushing lots of repetitive impressions and advertisements through numerous media mix.

MONEY

Lastly, it’s about your relationship with money. Successful entrepreneurs handle money as means to an end to get things done. But others treat money as an end in itself. An example of this is the company Amazon, which brilliantly managed and prioritized cash flow over profits to grow through the years and thus used money as a means to an end.

Execution

We all know that knowledge is not enough. There is a big knowledge action gap that you need to bridge for success.

But why do millions of people don’t take action. Moreover, why are most people not persistent. It is mostly because of self doubt, self esteem, self confidence and self everything! Most people just procrastinate and overthink instead of execution.

They are stuck to their comfort zone but magic happens elsewhere. They cannot transcend their belief system and take the quantum jump into the unknown. We help you learn the art of self awareness to be able to execute with ease.

Our Approach

At Uptinker, our goal is to empower you for success in entrepreneurship. We teach you all about idea generation followed by critical required tools and then most importantly about execution.

Our instructors are all successful serial entrepreneurs and thus teach you from a practitioners viewpoint.

The education part is the first year and then in second year we actively help/mentor you in creating your own company, getting it off the ground and scaling it up.

Once you graduate satisfactorily from the first year, we then select around 10% of the class that show the most potential as company founders and help fund and incubate their companies for the second year. The remaining students are encouraged to team up with the selected founders.

These companies will be built from either the founder’s own idea or from our idea factory. The founders will be closely guided in establishing and scaling their companies by our team of mentors & coaches who are successful serial entrepreneurs in the field. We intend to partner and support each one of our portfolio companies for the long term.

All age groups are welcome to join. Different age groups are grouped in different batches accordingly. We have separate batches for teenagers who are less than 18 years old.

There is one meeting session every week to cover the modules selected. It is generally an hour long session, followed by reading assignments, homework and followups for the week.

Modules

Our modules cover fundamentals of entrepreneurship from idea generation to critical tools involving technologies, marketing, money to execution. In regards to technologies, modules cover most of the emerging technologies for startups including cloud, data science, ML/AI, Blockchain, VR/AR, Robotics, IOT and 5G.
